Quove and more quove

oopsabird asked: Hi! I heard you have good blog links for information about asexuality? Would you be willing to share some?

ohhai! My asexuality stuff mostly lives at my other blog now, which is cupcakearrow.tumblr.com but yes I do! Lots of people I reblog from there are asexual but I’ve sent you another ask with a list of people I follow who blog about asexual stuff because I’m not sure how many of them are comfortable with their usernames being in such a list publicly.

Most of these people post about things that are not asexuality - like gender and race, too, and it is important to note that I don’t always agree with their views, but their views are no less important than mine. As for information, here’s a post I wrote explaining a few things about the ace/aro communities, and an overview to the “are asexuals queer” debate which is probably out-dated by now. You can also find a lot by scrolling through my cupcakearrow blog, and clicking on various tags I haven’t bothered to catalog. You can also find a bunch of information in the main asexuality tags (asexual, asexuality, and actuallyasexual are the main ones), though be prepared to find random hate and misinformed views and trolls. The actuallyasexual tag is a lot less active but a lot more (though not entirely) safe.

I’m sorry to say that I haven’t been nearly as active in the ace community lately - I’ve had some personal issues to deal with that have made it hard for me to keep up, and sometimes the ace tags are too emotionally draining for me to be able to be active. I hope that my blog will at least be able to provide you with some of the information you’re looking for, though, and if you ever want to know if I have any links for anything specific, feel free to ask me, and I can probably come up with a more detailed answer. :)

divinewolfwood asked: Knew that tag was coming.

Yeah I’m sure you did.

Do you just enjoy going through that tag or something?

professorbutterscotch asked: You guys were awesome, for serious. About 2 minutes in against your beaters I was like "ruh-roh. Major ruh-roh." And re: the 10 points thing, I think that we won that game the only way we were going to, and we knew it. We realized we weren't going to win on points against a team that strong. You guys were too big and we just couldn't get bludger control back after we lost it, so we knew that the snitch snatch was going to have to be the way we did it. (Side note: Yay! I met you! Yay!)

Hahaha, I am ridiculously happy with the way we played. Also our beaters? Fucking beasts. Julia and Miles will hold on to their bludgers WITH THEIR LIFE.

AND I MET YOU YAY YAY YAY!!!

vitalityattack asked: I am now snickering like a fool at the word queerditch haha. Can that be what happens when a group of lgbt kids play?

I plan on making this happen.

Even better? Queerditch is canon in Harry Potter. The canonically origin of quidditch is a bunch of “numbskulls” who started playing in a marsh called Queerditch Marsh, where the modern word “quidditch” comes from!

thefeistymidget asked: Albus Dumbledore

living in oregon for four years

professorbutterscotch asked: Ron Weasley!

Falling. I’m totally cool with heights, but if there’s a large chance of falling I’ll freak out haha. This manifests in being ultra careful on decks and porches and stuff. And those glass walk-way things? Yeah no.

neektay asked: new!

Okay I had to check, because one of my teammates would like to say you;re actually watching season 30. :P

calidork asked: Uh, it looks like a few of your followers may be spambots. The last two I clicked on were. :/

That would explain it.

I saw the one, but not the other.

w4rped asked: Pretty sure my captain is going to grab some PVC pipes to make brooms in the next few weeks, just because we got a lot of new people this semester and don't actually have enough brooms for practice. xD

Some teams use PVC only, just remember to put caps on the ends! XD

w4rped asked: Oh gotcha. I've heard the ones at the world cup are ridiculously expensive, my team has a bunch of lightweight crappy looking wooden brooms that were probably really cheap. I just feel like a metal broom is a bad idea no matter what way you look at it.

Yes it is! But it was also $1 when I bought it… Which looked great to my broke-ass freshman don’t-have-a-job bank account.

The world cup ones are pretty expensive, as in like $50 or so a broom. PVC pipe works TOTALLY FINE. Personally, I like my duck-tape covered $5 broom from the hardware store, and my team uses $2 brooms from a hardware supply site we buy in bulk, and they work pretty great.
